Sir:
You filed a pre-election protest pursuant to Article XIV, Section 2(b) of the Rules for the 1995-1996 IBT International Union Officer Election (“Rules”) in which you alleged misconduct by a variety of Union members and entities. The protest, however, fails to provide a clear and concise statement of the alleged improper conduct and to fully identify by name each person who or entity which may be a subject of the protest as required by
Article XIV, Section 2(d) of the Rules. Further, no evidence was provided to support the protest as required in Article XIV, Section 1 of the Rules. For the foregoing reasons, the protest is DISMISSED.
If you are not satisfied with this determination, you may request a hearing before the Election Appeals Master within one day of your receipt of this letter. You are reminded that, absent extraordinary circumstances, you may not rely upon evidence that was not presented to the Office of the Election Officer in any such appeal. Requests for a hearing shall be made in writing and shall be served on:
