Re:  Election Office Case No. P-207-LU599-PNW

Gentlemen:

A pre-election protest was filed pursuant to Article XIV, Section 2(b) of the Rules for the 1995-1996 IBT International Union Delegate and Officer Election (“Rules”) by

Patrick McBride, a member of Local Union 599.  In his protest, Mr. McBride charges that Local Union 599 failed to provide him with a complete and accurate list of work sites where members of the local union work.  The protester provided the Election Officer with a list of work sites he contended were either omitted from the list provided him by the local union, or for which the local union had failed to provide him with accurate information.  Regional Coordinator Christine Mrak transmitted this information to the local union.

In response, the local union provided the Regional Coordinator with corrections to the work-site list and advised that the protester had listed as omitted from the work-site list certain employers whose employees were not represented by the local union.  The Regional Coordinator provided these corrections and clarifications to the protester.

Under these circumstances, the Election Officer concludes that further processing of this protest is unwarranted.  Mr. McBride’s complaints, as stated in this protest, have been addressed, and the relief he requests has been achieved.  Accordingly, the protest is RESOLVED.
