Re: Election Office Case No. P-1306-RCS-NYC
CORRECTION
Gentlemen:
In the above-referenced decision issued on December 4, 1996, Martin Davis was inadvertently referred to as “Mr. Martin” in the seventh paragraph on page two. This paragraph should have read as follows:
James P. Hoffa
December 4, 1996
Page 1
Martin Davis, president of the November Group stated that the campaign is current in its invoices. Moreover, Mr. Davis stated that the campaign is current in the payment of its bills from the November Group. Mr. Davis stated that while the campaign had invoices that were outstanding for more than 30 days, it was billed finance charges just like other November Group clients with outstanding unpaid balances. Mr. Davis related that other clients, such as the Democratic National Committee, often go as long as six months before paying an invoice and that this practice is common in the industry. Further, Mr. Davis provided a written statement to the investigator that the November Group changes the Carey campaign rates consistent with its other clients.
Sincerely,
Barbara Zack Quindel
Election Officer
